Dialogue

Characterize the dialogue in this film.  Do you think Tarrantino is attempting to establish a theme thorugh the way his characters speak?  What theme could that be?

  1. It's seems as though Tarantino accentuates miscellaneous, everyday dialogue. Personally it establishes a true sense of immersion in the film and lets me really get into it. In traditional films, nearly all the dialogue holds a specific purpose to the plot. However a decent chunk of the characters' dialogue is meaningless banter, some of which has made Tarantino very famous.

  2. Hoestly, the dialogue in this film is what makes me love it so much. It's very real and it's how a normal person from America would talk! The dialogue adds a lot to characterization; these are badass mobs, they shouldn't talk formal! The dialogue also adds the humor to the film with it's odd combination of cuss words and odd analogies. The dialogue in this film also adds to the theme. I believe the theme is to make the right choice and be true to who you are. The dialogue shows the characters true personalities and what they're all about.
