Well I feel like the most common guess of what's in the briefcase would be money. However, since this movie has so much to do with drugs, I wonder if it is possibly drugs, or something related to drugs. A reason it could be money is because it could have something to do with the betting on the boxing matches. I'm not really sure if the guys that had it in their apartment gave any clues as to what it is. Additionally, I found it funny that the combo was "666". As many things as I could guess I have a feeling it is something really random and not necessarily of value just because you said "have fun with this". It must be extremely random. ~Erin McGarrah
The most common theory I've heard was that the briefcase contains Marcellus Wallace's soul. As weird as this sounds, it makes a bit of sense based on the following evidence: one thing is the bandage on the back of his head. Perhaps his soul was extracted from this spot. Second is the combination to the briefcase, 6-6-6 (This doesn't need much explaining... It's the number of the devil). Finally, the glow that comes from the briefcase when Vincent opens it in the second chapter gives the viewer the idea that its inhabitants are unusually important.
Okay so I'm not the only one who does not think it's something tangeble. However I dontthink what is in the brief case matters all that much. Initially that was all I wanted to know about because many of the characters were affected plot wise by the brief case. Because ofthe brief case, everyones seemingly random stories interconnect. Overall the case is symbolic of the characters backgrounds and maybe even with their relationship with Marcellus. Either way the brief case is the cause for driving story line which makes the film so suspensful and interesting Lara
This briefcase cases a lot of havoc. Whatever is in the briefcase, if I was in the film, I'd probably want it destroyed but because Marsellus wants it so badly, I wouldn't think that destroying it would be a good idea... sadly, none of us actually know what's in it. I've had a couple ideas but they get cancelled by other facts. For example, I thought maybe pictures of the rape scene but it can't be because Vincent retrieved it and he was dead by the time that happened. Another was money but, I feel it can't be that straight forward because Vin wasn't looking at it like money (he's seen money before, I'm sure many times), he had an amazed look on his face. I cut out the idea of drugs only because Vinnie didn't take any. There was only one idea that I could possibly come up with for what it could possibly be and that's the wedding license but, I can't find any proof behind it. :/

I think that the reason it is never shown is to make it seem that much more important to the plot. The audience is supposed to be like "what is so important about that briefcase and why is it glowing!?" Obviously it has been said that the combo was 666 and i think that is just a funny coincidence. It has to be something valuable because when phil opened it, the restaurant robber said how beautiful it was and the most beautiful thing to robbers is something that can be translated into money. if i had to make a guess i would say it is a bar of gold.

Also if it was drugs they must have been like really good drugs to be carried around in a briefcase. So then I thought that it was gold but like at the end the guy said something along the lines of I've never seen anything so beautiful or something like that. Gold is pretty but men don't usually have that reaction to it so now i am just thinking it was some sort of art work or something like that. So yeah that's what i think. K BYE
